Obituary of C. Eugene Faulk
C. Eugene Faulk III "Gene"
C. Eugene Faulk, III, of Canandaigua, passed away on October 15, 2017, at the age of 83, after a short illness with Pancreatic Cancer.
Gene was born in Ruston, Louisiana in 1934. He graduated from Johns Hopkins University and Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Gene taught in the Boston Schools for 33 years, Arlington High School, Wayland High School and King Philip High School. He taught physics and chemistry. His classes were very popular with his students. He lived in Dover, Massachusetts for many years and in 2001 moved to Canandaigua, NY. Gene enjoyed the beautiful landscapes of Upstate, NY and the Finger Lakes wine county.
He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Mary McKechnie Faulk; his sons, Alec Faulk, of Ruston, LA; Jolyon Williams (Jo-Ann) Faulk; two granddaughters, Jessica Marie and Jane Williams Faulk, all of Framingham, MA.
Gene would like to thank the craftsman that helped remodel his home and the people who helped him so much at the end of his life, Meg Delaney CHaides, Bill Gee and especially Floyd Dibble. Also, all who graciously went beyond the call of duty. Gene and Mary are very grateful.
If you tried to describe the character of Gene, words you might think of are generosity, fairness and entertaining. He could talk knowledgeably about many different subjects and was a fascinating conversationalist. He was very much loved and will be missed by his friends and family.
