Obituary of John A. Moffat

John A. Moffat Canandaigua- Our beloved husband, Father, Grandfather and friend, John Moffat, at the age of 84, sadly passed Dec 5th, 2017 surrounded by his loved ones. John prided himself on being a successful Machine Tool salesman for over 59 years. He graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1956. Connie and John have been married for 56 wonderful years. Connie lovingly referred to him as 'My Man' and were always expressing their love for and with each other. They enjoyed boating, fishing and downhill skiing together. We all know he also loved his scotch and red wine. Although he sometimes spoke about retirement he never got to it and worked up to the end. His dedication to an active lifestyle included going to the gym, playing with grandchildren and his ever present 'honey-do' list. He amazingly proved just how strong he was these last few months and we are in awe of his strength. He was dedicated to his grandchildren attending any and all events, activities, teaching them new skills and celebrating all their accomplishments. John loved to volunteer his wood working skills for Camp Good Days and School of the Holy Childhood. Survived by the love of his life, Connie; brother, Duncan; children, Nancy (Jim) Apolito; Eric; Glenn; Karen (Chris) Fallows; grandchildren, Colleen, Shannon, Megan, Bryson, Autumn, Reid, and Gage; only cousin Richard (Fran) and many nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may call Friday, December 8, from 4-8pm at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua.
