Philip Lincoln Murphy Sr.
Passed away suddenly at 77 years old on December 13th, 2017 at Thompson Hospital. He was born in Canandaigua, NY to Clifford & Ethel (Cole) Murphy. Phil also had a special bond with his step mother Ethelyn “Louise” Murphy. Phil went to school at Middlesex & Started working early on in life. Some of his professions include owning his own taxi service called Murphy’s Taxi, previously driving for Veteran’s Taxi, he was a long time maintenance man at the Farmington Mcdonalds and in his retirement he was a delivery driver for Morey’s & Cuddlebacks. He was an avid Hunter & Outdoorsmen. Lawn Work, Hunting, Old Western Movies especially his John Wayne collection, coffee mornings at the Villager & The New York Yankees were many of his passions.
He is survived by his Daughters Cherie (Kevin) Smrekar & Shawna Hackett of Oil City, PA and Debra Murphy of Canandaigua, NY. Sons Philip L Murphy JR and Lance Murphy. Grandkids Dannielle McGary, Sasha (Christopher) Merritt, Tiffany (Danny J) Hampton, Burnette “Bud” (Lacey) Murphy, Derek Murphy, Brianna Murphy, Cody Murphy, Summer Bradley, Aaron Smrekar, Michael Gordaner, William E Bradley JR, Corrie L Murphy, Anthony Decker and Jamie Murphy. Siblings Marie (Wilkie) Mosher of Canandaigua, NY & Clifford Murphy JR and Laurie (Terry) Galumbos of GA. Phil is also survived by 19 Great Grandkids and loving Nieces, Nephews & Cousins.
He is predeceased by a Granddaughter Chastity Bradley-Singletary, A son Richard A Murphy, Loving Wife Debbie (Coats) Murphy, A Sister Mary Murphy & Brother Frank Bulley.
Phil will be remembered for his love of his family and friends & being a Ladies Man!
Services For Phil will be Monday December 18th, 2017 at the Fuller Funeral Home 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua from 4-6 with a memorial service to follow.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the ASPCA in Phil’s name
