She was preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret, in September of 2016.

Ulla was born to Ake and Hilda Oquist, in Stockholm Sweden on December 18th, 1930, the youngest of 3 children. They lived in several cities across the US before settling in Naples, NY in 1966.

She raised her 3 children in Naples and was well know in the community. In 1977 she opened the Brown House Gallery as an art Gallery and artist supply store. She ran the Brown house for many years until it closed at the end of 2013.

She was known for her positive outlook on life and enjoyed the time she spent sitting on the front porch of the Brown House, talking with people and telling stories.
