Obituary of Craig Curran
Craig John Curran, age 48, passed away on Monday July 16th 2018 at his home in Pittsford, New York. He was born on June 1st 1970 in Canandaigua New York, to John and Sharon (Wyffels) Curran. Craig was raised on the Curran family owned and operated farm and apple orchard where his strong work ethic and love for the outdoors was nourished. He attended Midlakes in the Phelps-Clifton Springs school district, in which he graduated from in 1988. He then continued his education at Suny Geneseo and graduated with a bachelors in business and finance. He proudly belonged to the fraternity Phi Sigma Epsilon at Geneseo. Craig worked for his father and the family excavation business for several years before he was hired on as a Wealth Management Advisor at Merrill Lynch in 1998. He worked hard through out the years and became an Assistant Vice President. He mentored many co workers new to the business and was proactive in continuing his education in his field. On many of his days, one would find him at the family home in Clifton Springs mowing the lawn, joyfully helping his mother with her flower and vegetable garden, and tending to the orchard. Craig had an uncanny ability to transform any place into a beautiful landscape. As a child he was an avid hunter and trapper. He continued his love for this as an adult and passed his skills down to family and friends. Craig's contagious laugh, unique sense of humor, and all around beautiful spirit will be missed by all of his family and so many friends.
Craig is survived by his mother Sharon (Wyffels) Curran, father John W. Curran, brothers Pat Curran, Eric Curran, Matt Curran, Mark Curran, and sister Kerrie (Curran) Goodman, 5 nieces and 4 nephews, many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
