Edwin A. Vanderbrook Jr.
Bristol- Ed Vanderbrook, 77, beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather, passed away suddenly on July 29, 2018 at F.F. Thompson Health.
Ed was a graduate of Monroe High School and served in the National Guard. He was Syracuse Basketball fan and had a great passion for the outdoors and nature. Ed enjoyed feeding the birds, fishing, traveling and spending time with family. He was a huge kid with a kind heart.
Ed is survived by his Loving wife of 44 years, Pat Vanderbrook; daughter, Melody (Paul) Dowd; son, Eddie (Sara Ashley) Vanderbrook III; sister, Betty Yeara; nephews, John (Deb) Yeara and Jim Yeara; grandchildren, Josh and Scottie Blankenberg, Kyle (Caitlin Tillack), Ashley Hammer, Kayla and Jacob DeGroat, Gabby Ashley, Ariana Pritchard and Logan Vanderbrook; two great-grandchildren, Connor Linden and Hunter McGory, and several other family members and amazing friends.
He was predeceased by his son, Scott Blankenberg and daughter, Sheryl Blankenberg.
Ed retired from Hammer Lithograph and worked part-time for the Daily Messenger.
Per the family's request, there will no services at this time.
