Mrs. King was My Mother for Spring Semester of 1986.
I stayed with Mr. King, Robert (U.S.) Airborne and Mrs. King while attending S.U.N.Y. C.C.F.L..
I studied all night (most nights) and We would go grocery shopping together.
I would mow their lawn and go walking with Liz through Sonnenburgh Gardens.
Michael, as She would say "My Michael" would come visit.
Mark (Hank) would be spoken of as lifting weights and dating Ladies at the Lions Den.
Matthew (Loiue} came home from North Carolina with a another wrestler from Oklahoma.
One time Matthew and I lifted a car while it was spinning its' tires.Marty (Skippy) would come home to see Corey. He said He might as well face He was addicted to Love.
Marty ( Skippy) was a follower of Jesus Christ and Lizzy always referred to Him as a "Great Thinker"..
We had a feast the day after Marty and I had gone out drinking profusely.
Robert had prepared the meal as He was a chef; One of a gigantic resume of occupations. He would go to many wrestling matches, let me use His weighted boxing gloves and allowed me to wear His Bloomsburgh jacket. He would leave messages on the blackboard and called Mrs. King "Mother".' We would sit together from 3AM to 6AM He would fall asleep on the couch while I watched A Christian late night show. He would have 3 shots of alcohol and eat a mix of potato chips, pretzels and popcorn that Mrs. King would fix for Him prior. I would wake Him for His early shift. He would work over 10-12 hours a day and fall asleep in His white uniform.` Elaine's sword was on the wall from Marine officer graduation.. Nautyl was ill.
Elaine came home with Her new Husband from U.S. Marine Corps (Mech). They moved in also..
Elizabeth (Lizzer1) and Richard VanAmbergh stayed in My room as I went to the Attic which had a multitude of Antlers and Horns to sleep.
Eleonora King would discourage my biotechnology studies as She was a firm Catholic and was concerned about the dangers of playing God; in regards to the problems involved in Science being used for detrimental purposes.
From the moment I met Her I called Her "Mother" or "Mother King".
To Her Family; I would say "Trust In The Lord with All Your Heart - Lean not on Thine Understanding but on every Word of God".
She was great comfort to me when I had I rescued one of my best lady friends from a woman beating incident.
I have been in great pain every since I finished the degree and hugged Her Good Bye (to return to Sylvan Beach, New York).
The bad element that I thought was my lacrosse team mate had battered Her and She told me that I should have known better than to expect a woman beater to change.
I will Love Her forever..
She worshiped every Sunday.
Donald Raymond Goppert.
S.U.N.Y. E.S.F. Biology Graduate 1994, Security Guard, etc....2:30 A.M. 2/27/2021
I think of Her when I hear "Groovin" (on a Sunday afternoon).
With Endless Gratitude,
I think that if Mrs. King could speak to me now, She would say "That which does not kill us makes us stronger".
Divine Providence did provide
Divine Providence does provide.
Divine Providence will provide.

I was lucky enough to have Mrs. King as a teacher at Red Jacket. She was a terrific role model and teacher. Strong, knowledgable and full of care and compassion. She will be missed by many. Our Shortsville-Manchester community had a gem with her helping raise its community's youth.

My thoughts and prayers to the family of Ellie King.
Oh, I remember Mrs. King..."Ellie" well.
In 1984 I landed my first job at Red Jacket Central
and on the first day when I met this spit fire of a teacher she made quite an impression on me.
She set some of the best examples on how to work with your students.
She taught me as a young teacher and coach that the
best way to earn respect is be a straight shooter, be tough on them
yet be a good listener and have compassion.
Now as a retired teacher I can look back and say without any reservation
They don't make em like that anymore...it's too bad the schools would be a lot better off.
God rest your soul Mrs. King -you were the best!
Sincerely,
Coach Tim Munn
