Obituary of Kendrick R. Forte

Kendrick Ralph Forte (1975-2018)

Kendrick Ralph Forte (Ken) of Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2018 at Harlem Hospital surrounded by loved ones.

Kendrick was born in Canandaigua, New York on October 6, 1975 where he attended primary and secondary schools. He attended St. John’s University in New York where he majored in finance. Later Kendrick received his MBA in accounting and finance from the University of Chicago. Athletically gifted, he played football and lacrosse while attending college.

Kendrick enjoyed a successful career as Vice President of Strategic Clients for Holzer Health System in Chicago. Kendrick especially enjoyed golf, skiing, working out, politics, and just getting together with family and friends. He relished giving them nicknames.

He is survived by his mother, Judy Forte and his father, Ralph Forte; daughter, Alaina Forte; Susanne Aforpa (Alaina’s mother); brothers, Kevin Forte, and Ralph Forte, Jr.; and friend Laura Shandonay. He will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends, and co-workers and by all who knew and loved him.

We were honored to have had Kendrick in our lives and will miss his big, bright, and contagious smile. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at Benta’s Funeral Home, 630 St. Nicolas Avenue, New York, with the repast immediately following. Another memorial service will be held at Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo Street, Canandaigua on Monday, September 17, 2018, 10:00 a.m., with interment following at Woodlawn Cemetery, 130 North Pearl Street.
