Obituary of Robert Clark

Robert W. Clark, 71, died Dec. 18, 2018 at the M.M. Ewing Continuing  Care Center in Canandaigua.

Born in Rochester he graduated from Brockport High School, class of 1965. He attended Monroe Community College and served in the Army  as an MP-Dog Handler in Viet Nam.  He later attended RIT and graduated with a degree in Computer Information Technology in 1991. While working as a systems analyst for Electronic Data Systems, he was very active in volunteer work.  He served as a mentor for Middle School students in the Rochester area and chaperoned social activities for the Monroe Developmental Center. He also worked as a volunteer for the Viet Nam Veterans' Moving Wall, supporting the computer data base which helped veterans and families of vets to make connections with each other. Bob loved the outdoors and loved to hike "Clark's Hill" in Bristol as well as the beaches of Hilton Head Island.  It was even more special when he was able to hike with his grandchildren.  Bob worked as a Systems Analyst for the town of Hilton Head Island, retiring in 2013.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Linda Drayn Clark, son Jeremy (Tami) Clark, daughter Brynne (Jason) Clark, son Ryan (Heather) Clark, grandchildren Cassidy, Gavin, Ashtynn, William and Thomas Clark, brother Patrick (Kathy) Clark, sister Sharon (Tom) Aten, sister Sandra (Mike) Dodge, brother Alex Hughes, sister-in-law Lorraine Reed, brother-in-law Robert (Stephanie) Drayn Jr., his best friend Randy Humphries  as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins and his special companion Bella.

Friends my call at Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo on Saturday, Jan. 5, from  1:00 to 3:00 p.m. where funeral services will be held following visitation at 3 o'clock.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.  A gathering to celebrate Bob's life will be held at Clark's Hill, Bristol at a date and time to be determined in the summer of 2019.
