As head of student affairs at Keuka College, Ms. Huebner was in charge of most everything that wasn't academic during my years, '76-'80. She was a kind and generous adviser to those of us who were student advisers and hall directors. Our senior year, she asked my good friend Irene Peck and me to lead a conference on reorganizing our student government. A group us met for a Saturday afternoon across the lake at an alumna's lovely home and plotted out a new government structure. I think Ms. Huebner knew the structure all along, and led us to the conclusions she hoped we'd arrive at. After I graduated, I'd get holiday cards from Barb and Jane, written in the voices of their beloved dogs, telling stories about the places they had visited that year. I always looked forward to the update and was sad when they ended a number of years ago. RIP Ms. H.
