Kathleen E. Freeman, age 66, a lifelong resident of the Honeoye Falls/Mendon area has passed away on Sunday, April 14.

She is predeceased by her husband Harold J Freeman, daughter Stephanie Ann Freeman, and father Thomas J O’Connor.

Kathleen is survived by daughters Cory Ann Stanton, Sarah Ann Freeman, grandchildren John Edwards, Hannah Leathersich, Aeris Stanton, her mother Barbara O’Connor, sisters Patricia & Robert (Erin) Freeman (Albert and Morrigan Smith), Ann Marie Sandman, Susan Ann McMahon (Shawn & Chad) , Maureen & David Sproull (Megan), Eileen Tassone (Christopher and Kerry), Martha & James Hoh (Emily (Will, James, Lucy), Allison, Miles, Nolan, & Lilly, JoAnn Connolly. Kathleen is survived by many close friends in her life, starting with “The Circle.” 

She was a loving mother and grandmother, aunt and sister to her family.

Working as a registered nurse for almost 50 years, she loved to share her knowledge and experiences in both her professional and personal relationships. She was a knowledgeable mentor and enjoyed providing guidance and support to those around her. She loved baking, laughing and shopping. Kathleen rarely met a stranger, as she held compassion for those she just met. Kathleen struggled from living with ovarian cancer and found support, comfort and friendships through Gilda's Club. Her lifelong friend, Susan Woolston Pettis, opened her heart and home for Kathleen to transition.

No prior calling. Friends and family are invited to attend Kathleen's memorial service at St. Bridget's Church Bloomfield, NY 11 a.m. Wednesday. Graveside service will be held Friday 2 p.m. at the Mendon Cemetery.
