To the Favro family,
My brother, Don, in Canandaigua just let me know of Caryl’s death. I was deeply saddened, but immediately I was surrounded by such wonderful memories of her and all of you. Caryl was so enthusiastic and worked tirelessly to help the Bloomfield band program while I was at BCS. Her life in service to others could not have been lived any better. Please know of my heartfelt sympathies for each and everyone of you.

To the entire Favro family:
Please accept my condolences in the loss of Caryl. I knew her most of my life and whether it was the family, or the community I never once saw her give any less than 100%.
- Caryl helped build the Bristol Ambulance in which she helped a lot of sick and injured people for many, many years.
- Caryl helped create Ontario County Advanced Life Support at a time when prehospital care was minimal at best. Her contributions raised the quality of prehospital care that still exists today that helped make Ontario County a leader in prehospital care. That standard served as an example that many other counties in western New York have since followed.
- Caryl was also an EMT instructor who taught many EMT's how to save the lives of others through what she taught them.
- Caryl was also a founding member of Bloomfield Band Boosters at a time when Bloomfield's music program didn't have much. Her dedication set a standard in Bloomfield's music program that still exists today.
- This is all above and beyond being a mentor, friend, wife and mother.
There isn't enough time, place and words that can describe what she did, and who she did it for. She helped make the world a better place, and now there is a void. She will be missed.
Alden, remember this.... When you're having a bad day, the barn is open and there's always an old car you can mess with.

Caryl was one of the finest ladies ever in the old BVFD. I remember her from days volunteering at the BVFD Hunters Breakfast as well as working the Ontario County Fair food kitchen. She was always a lot of fun to be around, and had a very quick wit about her. Caryl was always one of the first to offer support for whatever cause might arise in Bristol.
She will be missed in her community.
