Obituary of Mary Ann Murphy

Mary Ann Murphy Shortsville- Mary Ann Murphy, age 68, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Friday May 10, 2019 at M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years Frederick Murphy; their children Cristine (Donny), William (Jennifer), Matthew (Jamie); Grandchildren Nealcha, Durinda, Ashlee, Ryan, Grace and Alexis. Also survived by sisters Judy (Bill) Jones, Jean (Jim) Corino, and brothers Myron (Amy), Terry (Cindy), William (Dee), Ken; sister in law Sandra Worboys, brothers in law Edward Murphy and Sheldon Coon along with several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Frederick Jr. Mary Ann was born January 9, 1951 in Brockport, NY the daughter of the late Frederick and Beverly (DeBrine) Worboys. She worked at the University of Rochester for many years. Mary Ann was a caring wife, mother and grandmother; known for always putting everyone else first. She will be missed greatly by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Friends may call Thursday, May 16, from 2- 4 pm and 5-7 pm at the Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 1 pm funeral service will be held Friday, May 17, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Ontario-Yates Hospice directed to House of John, Clifton Springs.
