Joe will always hold a special place in my heart. He could seem gruff, but he was really a kind sole who loved his whole family deeply. Anytime I left a family gathering, he would always say “love you, honey” and plant a big kiss in my cheek. I will miss his stories and his laugh. I love you all so much and I’m here if you need anything.

Joan, Christina, and Anthony,
My mother and I moved next door to Rachel and Joe shortly after Joe (Tommy in those days) was born, and for over 30 years we not only enjoyed their friendship and neighborliness but also had the pleasure of watching the boy grow to what we thought was a good and compassionate man. I'm very sorry to learn of your loss.

Joe was the most loving and enthusiastic grandfather - I was always amazed by the efforts he made to see, speak to and dote on his grandkids. I think the trip he was able to take to Vegas with them was one of the most special times. We are so sorry for your loss and feel this with you. All our love and prayers.

Joe was a font of D'Agostino family history. He proudly represented the Canandaigua Clan at my dad's (his Uncle Don's) funeral in San Diego in 1970 and his stories about the East Coast family remain with me today. I could've listened for hours. For the past couple of years, Joe and I regularly exchanged texts and spoke via phone on special occasions. It pained me to know that he was facing so many challenges, and I did my best to cheer him up, but he insisted on talking about how I was doing. I wish I could've spent a lot more time with him. We send our love and sincere condolences to Joanie, Christina, Anthony, Erik, Jake, Lorenzo, Gianna, Eliana, and all who loved him.

Thinking of all the good times we all had when we came to Cdga to visit. Joe would sneak down to Angela’s to have coffee & a treat in the morning & visit with us just
quietly for about an hour. So nice! Then he’d hurry home not to get in “trouble.”
He finally made it out to Las Vegas to attend our son
Danny’s wedding & said he’d be back now that he knew he could make it out here. We all had a great time!
Joe was always the “life of the party” when we had family gatherings, with lots of stories to share. We had
Some great times at his house—a barbecue with all the cousins, and we all sang in parts all evening, with Anthony at the piano. Great fun! Lots of musicians in this great family. Enjoy your reunion with all the rest of the D’s waiting for you!!
