Obituary of Olympia C. Tyler

Olympia C. Tyler "Ollie" Canandaigua- Olympia Tyler passed away peacefully September 24, 2019 at Light Hill Comfort Care Home. She was born in Rome, NY daughter of the late Philip and Helen (Stevens) Carroll Sr. Ollie graduated from Rome Free Academy in 1951. She retired from Ontario County, Department of Social Services, after a 16 year career in Data Processing. Ollie was always young at heart and laughing. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was an avid New York Giants and Yankees fan. Surviving is her son, Larry G. Tyler II; three grandchildren, Darrell, Michael and Mark Tyler; three-great grandchildren, Alexander, Nicholas and Crystal Tyler; a brother, Robert Carroll; a sister, Deborah Carroll, sisters in-law, Jill Steiner and Jackie Carroll; brother in-law, Dutch Hiemstra; as well as special friend Russell Valley. Ollie was predeceased by her husband, Larry G. Tyler; sister, Theresa Hiemstra and two brothers, Larry and Philip Carroll Jr. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers at Light Hill Comfort Care Home. A 10 am funeral service will be held Monday, September 30, at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
