Obituary of Leslie C. Sprague

Leslie (Les) C. Sprague age 83 of Canandaigua, NY passed away on October 29, 2019.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday November 16th at 2:00pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3475 Hopkins Rd. Canandaigua, NY 14424. There will be a private burial for the family.

Les Sprague was born in Watertown, NY to Forrest and Louise Sprague August 11, 1936. He Graduated from Adams High School. He worked at Castle Company for 35 years. He was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on May 30th, 1966. He volunteered his time for many years teaching others about the Bible and the hope God's Kingdom holds out to all people, bringing comfort to those that needed it. Les loved to tell jokes, play cards, but most of all he loved spending time with family, friends and playing with his grandchildren.

Les is survived by his wife Paulette Sprague (married 41 years), their daughter Suzanne (Richard) Wood, his daughters Linda French and Evelyn Nourse, son Micah (Jodi) Sprague, step sons David (Julie) Masten and William (Michelle) Masten, 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Les is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Marie (Howard) Sprague, sisters Virginia Berkey and Vaneeta Eager, his youngest daughter Elizabeth Sprague Buddenhagen, his nephew Russell Berkey and great-grandson Jonathan Raymond Drock.

The family would like to express gratitude to the MM Ewing Continuing Care Center for their dedication to Les's care over the last 4 months. The team of Nurses, CNA's and Technicians in the Skilled Transitional Unit and Lakeview wing were wonderful and words cannot express how thankful we are for their hard work and kindness.
