Obituary of Anne S. Griffith

Canandaigua – Anne Griffith passed away on June 29th, 2020 at MM Ewing Continuing Care Center. Born in Canandaigua, on July 31, 1930, Anne grew up in Bloomfield where she went to school. After graduation she attended Rochester Business Institute. For most of her career she worked as a medical secretary for the Veteran’s Administration in Washington, D.C. and at the Canandaigua V.A. With her friends she enjoyed bowling and playing golf. She was also a volunteer at Thompson Hospital and Sonnenberg Gardens. Anne was predeceased by her husbands Carlyle Griffith and Joseph Mangiamele and by siblings, brother Donald Sanelli and sister Mary Jane (Hoyte) Brown. She is survived by her brother Paul(Anne) Sanelli and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Mary’s Church, 95 North Main Street, Canandaigua on Tuesday, July 7th at 10:00am. Interment to follow at Saint Bridgett’s Cemetery, Bloomfield. The family would like to acknowledge the staff at MM Ewing CCC for the wonderful care provided Anne during her illness. Donations can be made to MM Ewing CCC or St. Benedict’s Church.
