Obituary of Benjamin James Quayle

Benjamin James Quayle passed away from a battle with Covid-19 at his home in San Antonio Texas on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at the age of 36. He was a loving father, son, grandson, brother, uncle and friend. Ben was born on November 28, 1983 in Canandaigua, NY to Ronald and Barbara (VanTroost) Quayle. He graduated from Canandaigua Academy in 2001. In 2004, he met the love of his life Jessica and they married in 2006. On May 8th, 2009 his beautiful daughter Madelyn Avery Quayle was born in San Antonio, TX. Growing up, Ben and his sister were extremely close and shared a special bond. His sister always tried to look out for him. They took fun family trips and “mystery rides” which included Niagara Falls, Watkins Glen, Darien Lake, and trips to Florida including Disney World. Ben and his sister spent time traveling, camping, fly fishing, observing wildlife, and trips to Yellowstone when they lived together in Montana. Ben had a love for fishing, horticulture, model cars and Legos. He had an infectious smile, a kind heart, an adventurous soul, and was incredibly intelligent. He was the gentlest person in the world. His daughter Madelyn and his niece Lila were born 7 weeks apart so it was always special to watch them play together. Words will never be able to describe the void in our hearts as he left us way too soon. Ben is survived by his daughter Madelyn Avery Quayle(11) and former wife Jessica Quayle of San Antonio, Texas. His mother Barbara VanTroost(Phil), father Ronald Quayle(Sharon), grandmother Virginia Avery(Da) all of Canandaigua, NY. His sister Amanda West and husband Nathan West, niece Lila, and nephews Jackson and Owen of Lake George, NY. No services will be held at this time. The family will have a private celebration of Benjamin’s life at a later date. Should friends desire, contributions may be made for the benefit of Madelyn Avery Quayle. Contributions may be sent to Kenyon and Kenyon, 11 North Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
