Obituary of Shirley Stegall

Shirley (Daniels) Stegall passed peacefully at home on Saturday September 19, 2020 from complications of Parkinson's Disease. She was surrounded by her husband and children. Born May 30, 1940 in Hermanville MS, Shirley is survived by her husband of 59 years Kelly Stegall, Son Greg (Diane) Stegall, daughter Dina (Kent) Mangiamele. Grandchildren Lance (Chelesa) Richards, Tyler (Emma Nystedt) Stegall, Austin Stegall and Katie Stegall, Sister Joyce (Gene) Nesmith. Step Grandchildren Ryanne and Jeff Close, James Mangiamele and Nicholas Mangiamele, Allison and David Hildebrandt, Great Grandchildren Aurora and Aubrey Richards, Jacob, Nathan and Avery Close and many nieces,nephews and cousins in Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and Georgia. She is predeceased by her Mother and Father, Lola (Scott) Daniels, Taft Daniels, brother, Ernest Daniels, Sister and brother inlaw Linda and Larry James and Special Aunt, Newell (Scott) McAlpin. Shirley will be remembered for her southern charm, hospitality and being Mimi, not just to her grandkids, but the neighborhood children and so many around the Canandaigua Community. She was an amazing wife, mother and friend. She will be missed by all. Over the years Shirley enjoyed playing tennis with her group of friends for years, volunteering with the FF Thompson Hospital Guild, Granger Homestead and enjoying Canandaigua Lake and spending time with dear friends, Paul and Shirey Kellogg and Bryon and Caroline Delevan families. Shirley worked for 20 years in the family business, Stegall's Photography. A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family in New York and a private service will be held in her hometown in Mississippi at a later date.
