Obituary of Denise P. Burgess

Denise P. Burgess Canandaigua- Denise Burgess passed away December 22, 2020 at age 68. She was born August 30, 1952 to the late James and Helen Forte. Denise is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, John; son, John Burgess; daughter, Danielle Burgess ; grandchildren, Cody, Kaleb, Gage and Ava; one brother, Christopher Forte (Albany, NY); several brothers and sisters in-law, numerous nieces and nephews; countless best friends and her beloved Molly. Denise graduated from Canandaigua Academy, class of 1971, and began her nursing career of 47 years at F.F. Thompson Hospital. She was then recruited by Dr. Brendon Brady to the surgical department at Thompson Medical Center, retiring in 2013. Denise was everybody's friend and no matter where she went someone always greeted her with a "hello." She always cared about what was going on in others' lives and offered any help they may have needed. Denise enjoyed coffee time every Saturday with her girlfriends, loved craft shows and garage sales, always one to find good bargains. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Friends may call Wednesday, December 30, from 2-4pm and 5-7pm at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 7pm memorial service will follow at the funeral home.
