Obituary of Bertha Mae Maynard
Bertha Mae Maynard, “Bertie, Bird, or Mammy” to her family and dear friends, born on June 8th, 1937, sadly and suddenly, passed away on September 9th, 2021.
Remaining survivors include her two siblings Jay Hoover and Judy Barnes, five children and their spouses Sheri Housel, Daniel and Lori Maynard, Carol and Ryan Mulderig, Polly Higley, Patricia and Kevin Munt, and most beloved friend and consort, Todd Higley. Additionally, she is survived by her grandchildren Ryan Powers, Cody Wells, Kyle and Sean Higley, Delaney and Regan Mulderig, Lauren and Daniel Maynard, and Tami, Karl, Brandi Housel, Heather Terrore, and Tiffani Engleman, as well as six great grandchildren.
Our beloved “Bird” embraced life with passion and fervor. She enjoyed a forty year nursing career with pride. Bertie was the life and inspiration of family events and parties. To the golf community, she was renowned. The avid golfer, she was! Most importantly, she was a mother, our mother, offering her unconditional love and assistance, always. Bertie loved her children and grandchildren emphatically and embraced her golf game with passion.
Dearest, Bird, we will love and miss you dearly, forever.
