Obituary of Sharon A. Chrisman

Sharon (“Sis”) Chrisman, loving wife, mother, Nana, sister, and friend passed away Monday, November 22, 2021 at F.F. Thompson Hospital, after a short illness. Sharon is survived by Dave, her husband of 50 years. She is also survived by her daughter, Kimberly (Jimmy) Bancroft; her very special grandson Eric Chrisman; brothers Eugene (Sandy) Martin and Terry (Lori) Martin; brother and sister-in-law Bob and Norene Chrisman; sister-in-laws Becky Chrisman and Marie Burnett; several nieces and nephews; and grandchildren Jason and Natasha Knaak. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Grace Martin and her very special aunt, Doris Busby; brothers in-law, John Chrisman, Harold Burnett. Sharon was born in Canandaigua, New York, on April 29, 1952. She attended Canandaigua Schools and worked at the V.A. Hospital in Canandaigua as an LPN for many years. Following this, Sharon went back to school to become an RN and worked at Thompson Hospital for several years. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Canandaigua for most of her life and truly enjoyed her Tuesday morning Bible Study Group. In addition, Sharon enjoyed spending time volunteering in the Little Lambs preschool at Good Shepherd, which she did since her grandson Eric attended preschool there. She was known as “Aunt Sharon” to the preschoolers there. She also loved spending time with the children at her daughter’s day care, where she was known as “Grandma Sharon”. Sharon loved to spend time reading, crocheting, and playing cards. She also enjoyed great times travelling with her brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Norene Chrisman. Sharon had many passions, but her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family. The family would like to thank the staff at FF Thompson Hospital for the outstanding care that Sharon received over the past few weeks. Friends may call Friday, November 26, from 4-7 PM at Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo Street, in Canandaigua. A memorial service for Sharon will be held Saturday, November 27, at 11:00 AM, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 320 South Pearl Street, Canandaigua.
