Obituary of Beverly J. DeNard

Beverly J. Price DeNard ("Bev") Canandaigua- Beverly DeNard passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021, at age 79. Predeceased by her parents, Leola DeNard and Jospeh DeNard; nephew, Billy Bordner. Survived by her sister, Linda Bordner; nephew, Gerald Bordner; niece, Andrea Hamil; grandniece, Courtney; grandnephew, Devin; and her beloved dog "Magic". Bev was retired Associate Professor of 37 years at the Rochester Institute of Technology, National Institute for the Deaf. Bev was as an advocate for the deaf and hearing impaired - promoting deaf culture and employment of the deaf around the world. Bev helped so many people. She was a special friend cherished by many and knew how to live life. Bev's zest for life was marked by her world travels and enjoying eating out with her friends. One project important to Bev was working with Father Dominic on the Kalama Water Project, Kenya, Africa - starting new water wells, and clinics to provide water and education for the town. She loved to get dressed up and look for any excuse to have or attend a party. Bev appreciated the outdoors - hunting, gardening, sailboarding on Canandaigua Lake; seeing and watching the birds; feeding the frogs; watching her Dobermans romp around her 20+-acre property. Decorating the property for the different holidays was something too Bev enjoyed. Bev was a strong woman and loved her sports cars - MGB, Nissan 380Zx, and Crossfire. She always going, going, going with a beautiful smile, and a sparkle in her eye. Friends may call Thursday, December 16, from 4-7 PM at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 10 AM funeral Mass will be held Friday, December 17, at St. Mary's Church, 35 Center St., Waterloo. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
