Glenda N. Rask
Farmington - Glenda Rask, 78, passed away peacefully with family by her side on January 11, 2022. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Survived by her children: Cheri (Mike) McCauley, Tami Bradbury and Scott McWilliams as well as former daughter-in-law Cynthia McWilliams (Steubenville, Ohio); grandchildren: Morgan McCauley, Andrew (Taylor) Bradbury, Courtney (Joey) Bradbury, Greg (Marge) McWilliams (Boardman, Ohio) and Zach (Stacey) McWilliams (Poland, Ohio); great-grandchildren: Ryan, Maverick, Avery, and Mila McWilliams (Poland, Ohio), Alex and baby on the way McWilliams (Boardman, Ohio); close friend Becky Nohe and caregiver, Toni Bridgman.
She was predeceased by husband Gordon P. Rask (1982) and first husband Andy McWilliams (1984). Loved by all, and all she loved (including her fur grands: Ditto, Roxy, Ollie, and Josh Allen).
In addition to being devoted to her family, Glenda also served in the armed forces 1962-1964. She continued her service working as a nurses' aide at the VA Hospital in Canandaigua, NY, where she was wonderful to her patients and spent many hours attending to their needs. Over the years, she was honored to be the recipient of the "Chosen Spotlight" award as well as the "Hands and Heart" award. Glenda retired in 2002 after 25 years of dedicated service to others in this capacity.
One way Glenda expressed her love for others was through her culinary skills and will be remembered for her incredibly delicious chocolate chip cookies, hearty lasagna, and savory chicken cordon bleu.
Glenda will be honored in a celebration of remembrance and graveside service at 11:00am on Saturday, April 16th. Services will take place at The Brookside Cemetery, 701 Snell Rd. in Geneva, NY, followed by a luncheon at the Penn Yann Moose Club, 301 E. Elm St., Penn Yann, NY. All are welcome.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of the donor's choosing in her loving memory.
