Blanche P. Winters (nee Peslin)


Farmington- Our dear mother Blanche went to be with the Lord on February 10, 2022.


Blanche was born in Ridgewood, NJ on August 29, 1937. Fourth child to Alfred Oswald Peslin and Pearl Ann (Roberts) Peslin, into a loving rambunctious family. Living most of her childhood in Ridgewood, NJ.


Blanche met her future husband, Raymond, on a date that was set up by his sister while she was working as a bank clerk, and he was a telephone lineman. They set up home in Midland Park, NJ where they raised their family.


Blanche is survived by her 4 daughters, Catherine W. Garcia of Lisle, NY, Mary E. Kipp of Bridgeville, DE, Virginia W. Novy of Macedon, NY, and Marguerite P. Novy of Farmington, NY, 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and her sister Gaile Poggi.


Blanche loved to play cards, jigsaw and crossword puzzles. Above all, she was most proud of her children and grandchildren, always making time for them with laughter and love.


An 11 AM memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, February 23, at St Mary’s Church, 95 Main St. Canandaigua.


In lieu of flowers kindly donate in her name to the American Cancer Society.


Blanche will be laid to rest at the side of her husband at a future date in the spring at Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery, in Wyckoff, NJ.
