I am saddened by this news and so sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of "Mr. Hanley" from growing up next door on Littlebrook Drive. He was always smiling, liked to joke with us, and I'll never forget his kind eyes. My condolences to the entire Hanley family.

We are saddened by the loss of such a dear man. We always enjoyed spending time with Ed. He always had time for a chat, sharing his knowledge of Canandaigua's past, memories of growing up knowing Mike's grandparents, relaxing by the water's of Bob's Lake, and sharing the importance family.
We will miss him.
Our deepest condolences to the Hanley family,
Nancy and Mike Yacci

Ann and the Family:
Ed was a great complement to his profession and was always interested in what someone had to say. Those Saturday lunches were always interesting, especially those that he hosted. His wise words of wisdom were also worth listening to and taking heed. It is not any wonder that he had a fine family. Thanks Ed!

So sad to hear of Ed's passing. He was a very special person, and I am honored to have been friends with him for so many years. The good memories at Sutton, DeLeeuw are endless and will be in my heart forever. He so often spoke of each of you and was so fond and proud of his family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. He leaves behind a beautiful family that he truly cherished.
Sincerely,
Mary Della Vella
Marsha, thank you so much for calling me. I am hoping to share his celebration of life on the 9th and looking forward to meeting many of your next generation family members. I feel as if I know them all and your dad kept me current in our telephone conversations through the years.

Whenever I think of Ed dignity, integrity, honesty, compassion and wit are words that come to mind. I was fortunate to know him, and often followed his lead. The many different communities that he served in so many different ways benefitted from his intellect, experiences, energy and commitment. Ed will long be remembered. Please accept my sincerest sympathy for your loss.
