Obituary of Sandra L. Wilcox

Sandra Lee (MacDougall) Wilcox Canandaigua- Passed away peacefully on Friday, May 13, 2022, with her family at her side at Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center in Rochester. Muffy is survived by her children, Amanda Wilcox, of Canandaigua, Andrew (Alicia) Wilcox, of Hemlock; grandchildren, Kalob Wilcox, Makyla Hadsell and Aeriel Wilcox; brother, Chad MacDougall; sister, April MacDougall; stepmother, Peggy MacDougall; stepfather, Tom Waye; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and caretakers. She also leaves behind a lifelong friend, Cora (Vaughn) Lloyd and her family. Muffy was predeceased by her mother, Laura "Janie" (Roat) Waye; father, Wayne MacDougall; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Born and raised in Canandaigua, after graduation from Canandaigua Academy, Muffy chose Canandaigua to settle with her children. She worked odd jobs as much as her disabilities would allow her to. She wanted to give her children all she could. Muffy enjoyed time with her children, grandchildren, family, friends and coffee! She loved to do arts and crafts, crocheting and loved animals of all kinds. You could always find her watching a thriller movie or the sci-fi channel. She cherished each and every friend and relationship she ever had and most became family along the way. She battled lots of obstacles in her life and proved to herself and many others just how determined she was. She was an inspiration to all that knew her. Muffy's indomitable spirit encouraged her family and friends to persist in the face of many struggles. Muffy will be forever missed and loved, but never forgotten. Let Muffy's kind spirit, and zest for life live on through her children and grandchildren, who were her most prized possessions. Friends may call Friday, May 20, from 4-6 PM at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 6 PM funeral service will follow at the funeral home.
