Obituary of Robert B. Stanton

Robert B. Stanton Sr. June 8, 1942 - June 18, 2022 Robert was born in Rochester NY, served in the US Navy for four years and joined the RCPD in 1964 until 1984. He was a beat cop for 17 years transferring to the technicians unit working with the Monroe County Crime Lab as a fingerprint technician. He also processes gun permits. Retiring in 1984, he was rehired as a forensic arms examiner and fully retired in January 2004. Robert was predeceased by his parents, James and Frances Stanton, his second wife, Marilyn Houseknecht and their second son, Saun. He is survived by his wife of 25 years Rosemarie Stanton, four sons, Robert, Jr., Wade (Felicity), Kirk (Shaun) and Brent; nine grandchildren, Crystal (Eric) Hansen, Desiree (Matt) White, Nicole, Alexander, Kayla, Arch, Lulu, Cole and Marilyn Stanton; two step granddaughters, Kaitlyn Dattilo and Anna Fisher; four great-grandchildren, Payton and Weston White, Eva and Eli Hansen; brother James Jr. (Libby); two nephews, Craig (Jennifer), Geoffrey (Misty); five great-nieces and one great-nephew. Friends may call Tuesday, June 28, from 1-3 PM at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 3 PM memorial service will follow at the funeral home.
