Obituary of William C. Ambrose

William C. Ambrose passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022 at the M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua, NY. Bill was born on July 26th, 1941 in Troy, NY to Esther and Isadore Ambrose. He had resided in Canandaigua for the past 40 years and did what he loved best. Bill had a passion for black top and paving both residential and commercial and had dedicated 60 years of his life to this line of work. He owned Ambrose Paving and was well known in the community. Bill was a loving father, grandfather, brother, friend and with his charismatic personality, he enjoyed joking and making people laugh. He was a generous and compassionate man who would always go out of his way to help those in need. Bill leaves behind his devoted daughter, Tammy Ambrose, five adult children; his brother, Isadore John Ambrose; his two sisters, Mary Ambrose Delamater and Frances Ambrose D'Arcy; and is predeceased by his brother Michael D. Ambrose. Also left behind are several cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and an extended family Judith Stanley (predeceased), and her daughters Elizabeth and Nancy.
