Obituary of Robert L. Jensen

Robert (Bob) Lloyd Jensen, 80, of Canandaigua, passed away on August 27, 2022 in his home. Bob was born in Prattsburgh, New York to Robert and Barbara Jensen. He grew up with Kathryn in Prattsburgh. As a teen, he loved spending his time playing basketball on his school team. As he got older, he enlisted in the Air Force and served his country for 4 years from 1960 to 1964 where he received a medal for Good Conduct. Upon his return, Bob served the Canandaigua City Police Department until his retirement after 20 years from 1969 to 1989. Being a kind and dependable father was of the utmost importance to Bob and he certainly did not disappoint when it came to wholeheartedly loving his family. He loved to spend time with his family through camping and firewood Sunday. He is survived by his daughter Kathi Guth of PA, his step-children William Brennan, Sharon Dater; his sister, Kathy Allen; and seven grandchildren. Bob spent his time with the Canandaigua American Legion and enjoyed collecting and driving his John Deere tractors. Friends may call Thursday, September 1, from 5-7 PM at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 10 AM funeral service will be held Friday, September 2, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. His family will be present to welcome loved ones. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Canandaigua City Police Department.
