Obituary
Obituary of Michael I. Marinelli
Michael Israel Marinelli
Michael was born on January 28,1982 and left the bounds of earth to follow his brother, Noah on October 10, 2022. He was 40 years old.
Michael is survived with love by his precious daughter, Grace Suzanne Marinelli, his parents Jeff and Suzanne Marinelli, his sister Rachael (Nicholas) Tachco and his niece, Corrina Tachco.
Remembering Michael with love are his aunts and uncles; Mary Jo Corsaro of Geneva, Paul (Cathy) DeMay, Christine (Tate) Colburn, Jennifer (Scott) Notebaert, Patrick (Laurie) DeMay and James (Tracy) DeMay all of Shortsville; his grandmother Alice De May of Manchester along with 13 cousins.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Charles and Marjorie DeMay of Shortsville and Charles and Joan Claphanson of Cape Coral, Florida and his beloved dog, Shelby.
Michael rushed into this world 6 weeks early and was a curly headed little boy who enjoyed riding his bike, playing with cars and loved anything having to do with motorcycles. He loved to tease his little brother, Noah and often exasperated his big sister, Rachael.
Michael adored being a father to his Gracie girl often blowing bubbles with her on the front porch or playing cars. His love for her was unending.
Michael was a musician through and through. Self-taught on the guitar he loved to play and sing. His music knowledge was extensive, and he enjoyed talking about music and guitars every day with his father, Jeff. You would often find him playing his guitar with Grace helping her dad by strumming the strings. Michael was passing his love of music onto her. Please listen to your favorite song and think of our Michael.
Life was not easy for our beloved son. The disease of addiction is a wicked and dangerous siren. He fought many a brave fight for sobriety. A fight that lasted through the end of his days.
The family want to thank the nurses and doctors at Thompson Hospital and Strong Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care of our Michael.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo Street, Canandaigua on Sunday, October 16 from 1 to 4 p.m. A memorial service will follow visitation.
In lieu of flowers, please honor Michael by considering a donation for the care of Grace and for funding her educational trust. Donations may be sent to Jeff or Suzanne Marinelli, 99 Chapin Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424,
Michael loved the Grateful Dead, so in the infinite wisdom of Jerry Garcia,
“In another times forgotten space
Your eyes looked from your mother’s face
Wildflower seed on the sand and stone
May the four winds blow you safely home”
