Obituary of Phyllis J. Hargrove

Canandaigua - Phyllis Hargrove, 93, of Canandaigua passed away Thursday, November 03, 2022, in the E Wing at Thompson’s Continuing Care Center, attended by her daughter, Lila. Phyllis was born February 26, 1929, in Geneva, NY to the late Carl and Helen Cole. Phyllis grew up in Geneva & graduated from Geneva High School. Phyllis enjoyed playing the piano as well as the organ, fishing, volunteering at the St. Mary’s & United Methodist church & participating in outings and events with her friends at Wilcox Lane. Phyllis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, & friend. Her family was her passion, & she was always up for an adventure with them. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Lyle Hargrove, her 3 brothers, Lauren, William, & James Cole, whom she shared her birthday with, & her son-in-law Charles Scott. Phyllis is survived by her 4 daughters Cynthia (Louis) Spiva of Alvarado Texas, Mary (Richard) Muldoon of Lake Worth Florida, Phyllis Scott of Ocklawaha Florida, Lila (James) Minute of Farmington New York, nieces & nephews, 5 grandchildren, & 11 great grandchildren. Family & friends of Phyllis are invited to join her celebration of life on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at Wilcox Lane Senior Apartments (40 Wilcox Lane Canandaigua, NY 14424) from 11am-1pm.
