Obituary
Obituary of Marcia W. Reynders
Marcia Whelehan Reynders
Marcia went peacefully to Heaven on December 2, 2022, surrounded by her loving family at home.
She spent 57 of her 79 years married to her beloved Hank. Their relationship was a model of love and commitment to all who witnessed it, especially their children. Faith was the cornerstone of their marriage and they attended or watched Mass together daily. They lovingly raised six children and were blessed by 13 grandchildren. Marcia devoted her life to her faith, family and friends. She loved and was loved by so many. She knew our hearts and felt deeply all of our joys and sorrows; her compassion had no bounds. She was the first person so many thought of when they wanted to share happy or sad news, needed a listening ear, advice or prayers. Those of you who were lucky enough to be on her Christmas cookie list know she was an amazing baker. She had a devout faith which gave her grace, strength, comfort and optimism throughout her life. She truly believed and often said, "God is good".
Marcia was predeceased by her parents, Helen and George Whelehan and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marion and Edward Reynders.
She is survived by her loving husband, Henry "Hank" Reynders; adoring children, Mary Jo (Scott) MacKenzie, Tim (Masumi) Reynders, Todd (Alison) Reynders, Amy Reynders, Peter Reynders and Meg (Adam) Vecchi; precious grandchildren, Maddie, Patrick, Nate, Kevin, Ryan, Maeve, Will, Jake, Benjamin, Christian, Grace, Kate and Piper; Sister, Marie Whelehan; Brother, Michael (Camille) Whelehan and Sister-in-law, Maryann Reynders. Marcia was so grateful to her many healthcare providers, especially Dr. Allen Anandarajah, Dr. John Robb and Dr. Caroline Keib.
