Barbara D. (Covey) Aruck

Barbara, formerly of Shortsville NY, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2023 in Clifton Springs NY.

She was born in Rochester NY on August 23, 1934 to the late Margaret (Bass) and Lester Covey. She graduated from Booneville Schools and attended The Crane School of Music at Potsdam. She went on to be Office Manager at Lawson Whiting Corp in Macedon NY; retiring in the 1990s.

She is survived by her daughter, Tamara L. Straight; son, Robert E. Straight (Jackie Sotak); grandson, Jeromy Reeves (Elvira); grand-daughters, Shauna Straight and Elyir Ripley (Rayzel); stepchildren, Kim Davern, Kathleen (Robyn) Tauterouff and Lori (Tom) Barnett; daughter-in-law Janette Aruck . She is also survived by 12 step grandchildren, 19 step great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by first husband, Robert E. Straight; second husband, Michael W. Aruck; sister, Arlene Wands; brother, Robert E. Covey; daughter, Kimberly A. Reeves; stepdaughter, Wanda Hamilton; and stepson, Michael J. Aruck.

A graveside service will be held 10 AM on Tuesday, January 24, in Woodlawn Cemetery, 130 N. Pearl St. Canandaigua, for anyone who would like to attend.
