Shortsville- Frederick W. Murphy, age 70, passed away peacefully Tuesday February 7, 2023, at FF Thompson Health.

Frederick (Murf) is survived by his three children, Cristine, William (Jennifer), Matthew (Jamie); grandchildren Nealcha, Durinda, Ashlee, Ryan, Grace, and Alexis; great-grandchildren Bentley and Elliana. Also survived by his brother Edward, sisters in law Sandra Worboys, Jean (James) Corino, Amy Worboys; brothers in law Terry (Cindy) Worboys, William (Dee) Worboys, Ken Worboys and Sheldon Coon along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Frederick was predeceased by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary Ann (Worboys) Murphy.

Frederick was born April 16, 1952 in Canandaigua, NY, the son of the late William and Julia (Hernandes) Murphy. He worked for the Fairport Central School District for over 35 years, a place near and dear to his heart where he formed countless lifelong friendships.

Frederick was a caring husband, father and grandfather; known for his un-paralleled work ethic and extreme generosity. He enjoyed camping at Riverforest Park for over 40 years where he also made ever lasting friendships and was always the man sought out when something needed to be fixed, built or updated. He will be missed greatly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

The family is extremely grateful for the care and compassion shown by the nursing staff at 3 East of Thompson Health.

Friends and family may call Sunday, February 12th, from 11AM-3PM at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 3PM funeral service will follow at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Frederick's memory can be made to the House of John in Clifton Springs.
