Obituary of Patrick L. Vitek

Patrick Vitek, 77, passed away at home on February 16th. He is survived by his loving wife, Sue, brother, Mark and his wife, Lorene of New Windsor, two nephews and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his son, Jefferson Patrick and his parents, Ellen & Stephen. Pat was a machinist and worked on space communications. He was a prize-winning wood carver. Pat also studied and taught American Sign Language. Pat dabbled in the hobby of flint-knapping, creating stone tools using primitive techniques. He was a member of the Genesee Valley Flintknappers. He was a volunteer with the local Cheshire Community Action Team (CCAT). Pat was also involved in the fundraising and planning of the Canandaigua Dog Park. Visitation will be Saturday, April 15th at 1:00 at Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo Street, Canandaigua, with a memorial service at 3:00. There will be a reception immediately following at the Cheshire Fire Hall.
