Mary Jacobs

Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Jacobs

Mary Jacobs (Moll), age 68, sadly left us on May 24, 2023. She was born in Rochester, NY and was the daughter of Walter Moll and Carolyn Moll (Molz) of Walworth, NY. She was the only daughter, having 3 brothers Walter Moll Jr., Keith Moll and Daniel Moll. She is survived by a daughter, Terri Stines and a son, Adam Jermyn (Lexy). Stepsons: Jeff Jacobs (Katrina), Tyler Slatery (Dionna) and Shane Jacobs (Mackenzie). Grandchildren: Julia Stines (Austin), Elise Stines and Eric Jacobs. Brothers: Walter Moll and Daniel Moll (Mary). Many close cousins, nieces, and nephews. Mary attended Penfield High School and became a mother at a young age. She worked hard and provided for Terri on her own. She then married Michael Jermyn and while pregnant with her son Adam, they purchased their first home in Canandaigua on West Ave. Mary was a stay-at-home mom until Adam started school. She then attended FLCC to pursue her dream of being an RN like her mother. After graduating, she immediately got a job at FF Thompson Hospital. For most of her career, she was a Same Day Admit Nurse. She was known for her compassionate care, love for her job and co-workers. Years after Michael's passing, she found the love of her life, David Jacobs. Little did she know he grew up on the other side of the block from her childhood home. Dave and Mary purchased their dream home in Bristol, NY where they raised Dave's two youngest children, Tyler and Shane. Mary's priority was always family. She was always there to support, guide and groom her children into the family-oriented compassionate people that they are today. Mary made sure to always be there: she never missed a game, band recital or play that her children were involved in. After her children moved out, she never changed and did the same while helping raise her stepsons Tyler and Shane. Mary was the best grandma to Julia and Elise. She spent as much time with them as possible and always had an adventure up her sleeve. As they got older, she always made time to take them to lunches, movies and shopping. Mary made sure every birthday and holiday was special. She filled her family with love, lots of good food and amazing stories. Never expecting anything in return, Mary had a passion for helping friends, family and co-workers in any way she possibly could. She will be deeply missed by many. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 10 from 2-5 pm at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on S. Pearl St. in Canandaigua, NY. All family and friends are invited.
