Canandaigua- Jean Shafer passed away peacefully October 3, 2023 at the house of John, Clifton Springs.

She was predeceased by; Florence MacDonald (mother), "Mac" MacDonald (father), Shirley Kennerkenect (sister), William MacDonald (brother), Richard MacDonald (brother), and Peter Shafer (Husband).

Jean leaves behind; Christopher Shafer (son), Nicholas Quarterman (grandson), Jessica Quarterman (granddaughter), and Madeline Shafer (granddaughter).

Jean was known for her strong opinion and sassy responses, indomitable spirit, love for nature, and sense of humor. Jean loved to take walks in the wild, while photographing and spending time in the woods. Jean always left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She will be missed and treasured by all her friends and loved ones.

A 10am graveside service will be held Friday, October 13, at Woodlawn Cemetery 130 N. Pearl St. Canandaigua.
