Essie Mae Woodworth

CANANDAIGUA – Essie Mae Woodworth, of Canandaigua, passed away October 26 at Thompson hospital in Canandaigua surrounded by family. She was 85.

Mrs. Woodworth was born April 16, 1938 in Apalachicola, Florida. She was the daughter of Houston and Mary Elizabeth Howard. She was a graduate of Tate High School. She was the owner of Studio 202 in Canandaigua.

Survived by her husband of 66 years, Richard L. Woodworth Sr. and children Richard (Laurie) Woodworth Jr., Kathryn (Jim) Daunce, and Shannon (Ben) Gordner. Grandchildren Rachel Gillotte, Shaina Mitchell, Alicia Falkey-Ignacio, Justin Woodworth, Melissa Robbins, and Nicole Daunce. Great-grandchildren Lilianna Ignacio, Logan Churchill, Mckenzie Mitchell, Nolan Mitchell, Emily Gillotte, and Elliott Robbins. Siblings Hubert Howard, Billy Howard, Grace Paulchek, and Ronnie Howard.

She is preceded in death by son, Thomas Woodworth; sisters, Gladys Howard and Marie Weber; and brothers, Joe Howard, Randall Howard, and Junior Howard.

Friends may call Wednesday, November 1 from 5:00 – 7:00pm at Fuller Funeral Home on Buffalo Street in Canandaigua. Burial will be Thursday, November 2 at Sand Hill Cemetery.
