Obituary of Phillip W. Woodward

Phil was born in Warsaw, NY on November 5, 1940 to parents Ernest and Anna. Growing up in a blended family, Phil took on added responsibility from an early age, working on a farm at age 12 to help support the family financially. Phil enjoyed hard work. Through the years, he worked as a flight instructor, an auto mechanic, a truck driver, a newspaper deliveryman, and as a machinist. He loved to tinker and fix things—repairing watches, locks, and small engines. Phil and Rosemary were married on September 6, 1975 and became the parents of two children, Ernest and James. Phil was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on October 22, 1953. Although limited by various health ailments for decades, he didn't give up in his service to God. He died peacefully on November 8, 2023 at the age of 83. We look forward to seeing Phil enjoy perfect health when he is resurrected in God's coming new world. – Revelation 21:3, 4.
