Obituary of Clayton L. Brown

Clayton Lloyd Brown, aged 32, passed away unexpectedly on November 19, 2023. The family kindly requests privacy during this time of mourning and invites friends to honor Clayton by remembering his fun-loving spirit. Born on April 7, 1991 in Canandaigua, NY, Clayton was the beloved son of James and Denise Brown. Following his graduation from Marcus Whitman Central School in 2009, he pursued his passion for animals and love of horses by attending farrier school, following in the footsteps of his father. Clayton worked alongside his father as a farrier and, in recent years, with his mother's cleaning company, Critical Clean, Inc. Clayton was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed bass and salmon fishing with friends and his parents. His musical tastes leaned towards heavy metal, and he was an avid reader of sci-fi books. Described as easygoing, generous, and funny, Clayton will be deeply missed by his family and all who were fortunate to call him a friend. Clayton is survived by his father James Brown; mother Denise Brown (Michael Carey); sister Sophia (Erik) Zengel; nieces Kinsley, Phoenix, and Remy Zengel; paternal grandmother Jeanette Brown; maternal grandparents Donald and Sally Merrick; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Clayton is predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Curtis Brown. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to an animal shelter of your choice in Clayton's memory.
