Obituary of Cathryn B. Andersen

Cathryn B. Andersen of Farmington, NY passed away peacefully on December 5, 2023, at the age of 72, with her children, Jeff and Jamie, and friends by her side. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother and will be sadly missed. Cathy was born in Rochester, NY on November 4, 1951 to Stanley and Cleola (Lake) Bator. Cathy graduated from Clifton Springs High School. After graduating she worked at Kellogg's restaurant in Canandaigua. Cathy went on to work for the U.S Postal Service where she retired from after 30 years. During cold months, Cathy (and Dick) wintered at their place in Zephyrhills, FL where they would enjoy the warm weather and great friends. She loved playing games with friends and having a good laugh. She loved crafting including quilting, knitting, making cards, etc. Cathy liked playing games and crafting with her grandchildren. Cathy was preceded in death by her husband, Alan Andersen (Dick) and her parents. She is survived by her children, Jeffery (Jackie) Andersen and Jamie (William) Purdy; brother, Robert (Bob) Bator; brother in-law, Ralph (Barb) Andersen; sister in-law, Donna Andersen; grandchildren, Liam, Elizabeth, and Julia. Friends and family may call from 4pm to 7pm on Wednesday, December 13th, at Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, December 14th at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to: Farmington Amvets Post 332, P.O.
