Carl R. Chambry Jr. Obituary

Carl "Caveman" Chambry Jr., age 60, passed away unexpectedly on January 8, 2024.

Carl was born on August 21, 1963, in Rochester, NY to Carl and Sally (McGrath) Chambry. After graduating from Canandaigua Academy in 1982, Carl fulfilled his destiny by becoming a third generation Union Ironworker with Local 33 in Rochester, NY. He proudly worked in his trade for 21 years. He retired in 2006 as an honorary member of The International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers, AFL-CIO.

Carl enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, and collecting. He was deeply loyal to his family, friends, and beloved Siberian Huskies: Molson, Labatt, Skye, Odin, and Anna. Anyone who knew Carl can attest to his uncanny ability to talk endlessly about anything and everything. We are surely going to miss his tall tales and sage advice. He will be forever missed.

Carl is survived by his wife, of 31 years, Dawn; daughter, Misti (Jim); grandsons, Bennett and Marshall; father, Carl Sr.

He was predeceased by his mother, Sally.

Services will not be held at this time. A celebration of life gathering will be planned at a future date.
