Glenn A. Thomas Obituary

Glenn A. Thomas passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, January 30th at the amazing age of 89.

He is predeceased by his wife Emma (Payton) Thomas, parents Ronald and Edith of Duquesne, PA, and two brothers Robert & Ronald Thomas.

Glenn taught for over 30 years as a business/typing teacher with the Canandaigua Central School District. He fully embraced the transition from typewriters to computers & taught many Canandaigua graduates a lifelong skill, how to type. Glenn loved the Buffalo Bills/Josh Allen, Neil Diamond, the color blue, and manhattans. Most of all, Glenn loved his family and created the kind of life that would make anyone wish he was their father.

He is survived by his brother Ken Thomas, his niece Mary Urbaniak (Ron), and nephew Ronnie (Debbie) Glenn Thomas of, PA. Glenn leaves behind three children, Arthur (Amanda) Thomas, Mathew (Laura) Thomas, and Mary (Eron) Lyons. Glenn adored his grandchildren Amber, Lucas, Michael, Liam, and Brennan.

He made birthdays and holidays special always, including St. Patrick's Day (his favorite). Although he loved all of his grandchildren, Amber created a loving home environment of which he thrived in his final years. He was generous, kind, funny, and loved spending his days looking at Canandaigua Lake. We experienced a whole bunch of "$1000.00 days", cloud formations, and we are forever grateful for his love & spirit.
