William James (Bill) Axtell-Hereford,

United Kingdom- Bill was born in 1933 and passed away February 5, 2024, one week before his 92nd Birthday.

Bill was a resident of Canandaigua from 2007-2022. Due to terminal illness, Bill returned to England to spend his remaining time with his family. Bill is survived by his wife, Margaret J. Rhodes (Cuddeback) Axtell; sons, Adrian (Allison) Axtell, Ian (Jenni) Axtell; and daughter, Gillian Axtell; Margaret’s daughter, Ann (Arlie) Hoenig; son, Richard (Sherry) Cuddeback; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and family friend, Gordon Estey.

Bill worked for British Aerospace and developed and oversaw the electrical systems for the Concorde Aircraft. He served in the Royal Navy and was a Master Gardner.

Funeral services will be held in the UK. A memorial service in Canandaigua is planned at a later date. Contributions in Bill’s Memory may be made to the Fort Hill Performing Arts Center, 20 Fort Hill Avenue, Canandaigua, NY 14424, Local arrangements are by Fuller Funeral Home.
