Richard D. Beyea Obituary

Richard "Pops" Beyea passed Sunday, February 11, 2024, peacefully surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer.


He was predeceased by his father, Frank Beyea and his mother, Madeline Beyea.


Richard is survived by his four sons, Christopher, Anthony, Sean and Scott; five siblings, Mick "Monk" Beyea, Terry Beyea, John Beyea; his sisters, Ginny Damann and Donna Dehond. He was an amazing grandfather to his six grandchildren.


Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. A lover of animals. He was a staple in the bowling community and the Canandaigua USBC. After years of coaching youth bowling and many bowling honor scores he was inducted in the Canandaigua USBC hall of Fame in 2021. He was born and raised in Canandaigua and was a lifelong resident.


Celebration of life will be held in his honor at a later date. Donations can be made to a GoFundMe.
