Obituary of Joyce Ellen Aldrich

Canandaigua, NY – Joyce R. Aldrich, age 89, passed away on March 21, 2024. Joyce was born in Fairport, NY on March 28, 1934, and was the daughter of John and Ruth (Scott) Robson. She attended Fairport High School and was a member of the class of 1951. She worked as a bookkeeper for Bristol Mountain Ski Resort, Bristol Harbor Golf Club and finished her career with B & B Builders. Joyce lived a full and fun life! She really enjoyed spending her free time with family and friends. Joyce and Harley would host multiple outings at their camp in Boonville, NY and in recent years she would spend time with her friends at the Canandaigua American Legion, and grabbing a bite to eat with "the girls". Joyce was predeceased by her parents, brother, Jack Robson, great-granddaughter, Savannah Joyce Simmons and the love of her life, husband, Harley F. Aldrich. She is survived by her sister, Betty Herendeen of Fairport; three sons, Bruce (Shelley) Simmons of Bloomfield, Darrel (Karen) Simmons of Bloomfield and Michael (Cherie) Simmons of Shortsville; three stepsons, Gary (Anne) Aldrich of San Antonio, TX, Lary (Lori) Aldrich of Hockessin, DE and Tary Aldrich; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Private Interment will be on April 13th, at the South Farmington Cemetery. A celebration of life to follow at 12:00 noon, at the Elks Lodge, 19 Niagara St., Canandaigua.
