Obituary of Rosalind P. Kornbau

Rosalind Joan Kornbau (Polizzi), born on April 14, 1940, in Canandaigua, NY, peacefully passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on April 23, 2024. She attended Canandaigua Academy and then pursued her passion for beauty, becoming a talented beautician. Her dedication to her craft led her to establish and run her own beloved shop, "The Hair Connection," where she not only transformed hair with precision and care, but also nurtured enduring friendships with her loyal clientele until her retirement. Rosalind’s skilled hands also crafted many beautiful crochet blankets, each a reflection of her creativity and devotion. Her family would enjoy her delicious home-cooked Italian meals. Everyone especially loved her spaghetti dinners and eggplant parmesan paired with a "Roz salad". Her love for cooking extended to preparing wonderful holiday meals, particularly for Thanksgiving and Easter, where she created memorable feasts for her family. Rosalind had a deep love for animals, flowers, birds, and nature. She found solace and joy tending to her garden, where colorful blooms and chirping birds brought her immense happiness. Her connection to nature extended towards all living creatures, whether it was caring for her pets or admiring the beauty of a hummingbird at one of her feeders. Rosalind found her greatest joy in caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating a legacy of love and nurturing that will endure through generations. Rosalind is survived by her beloved and devoted partner, Patrick Walsh; her children Caroline (Frank) Mullen, Deane Kornbau, David (Christy) Kornbau, Daniel (Jennifer) Kornbau, Christopher (Catherine) Kornbau; her grandchildren Frankie (Dustine) Mullen, Lauren (Darien) White, Bryant (Jennifer) Kornbau, Bryce (Savanah) Prince Kornbau, Tiffany Kornbau, Jordan Kornbau, Mika Kornbau, Jake (Shae) Kornbau, Zach Kornbau, Shelby (Noah) Calugaru, Christian Bayne, Ryan Bayne, Nicholas Kornbau; her great-grandchildren Kaylee, Cassidy, Lillian, Audrey, Brandon, Jack, Atticus, Reagan, Isabel, Kingston, and Dominic; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
