Obituary of Bruce W. Flieger, Jr.

Bruce William Flieger, Jr., 58, of Jewett, Ohio, passed away on May 8, 2024, in Steubenville, Ohio. Bruce was born in Canandaigua, NY to Bruce and Sandra (Hardie) Flieger, Sr. on March 17, 1966. He went to high school at Red Jacket before transferring to Honeoye where he graduated in 1984. After graduation Bruce worked for several years at Honeoye Central Schools and then worked at Victor Insulators. He later moved to North Carolina where he worked for Stanley County Sheriff’s Department as a guard. He eventually moved to Ohio where he worked as a security guard at various places throughout his years there. Bruce enjoyed fishing and listening to heavy metal. He was a kindhearted soul and will be remembered by his family and friends for his sense of humor, his caring nature, and his willingness to give to others. Bruce is survived by his son Bruce C. Flieger, his sister Tammy Deal, his brothers Tim (Jessica) Flieger and Chris (Raquel) Flieger, his parents Bruce and Evelyn Flieger, Sr. and Sandra Flieger, his grandson Vaughn Faus, and his many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Sue (Custer) Flieger.
