Elayne Ulrich was born August 7, 1941. She passed away May 30, 2024. Elayne is predeceased by her parents Leo LaFave and Beulha Burgess LaFave, brothers Carlton, Edward, Donald, David, and Leland LaFave, and her son Ricky Gallien. She is survived by 3 daughters Wonnetta Gallien Bailey (Martin), Cynthia McGuire Worboys (Terry) Denise McGuire Mosher (Durwin), grandchildren Daniel Bailey, Elysha Bailey Romer(Joseph), Terra Worboys, Jarid Worboys, Marcis Worboys, Shaintel McGuire Spencer (Andrew), Matthew Mosher, great grandchildren Xavier Murphy, Braydyn Bixby, Aydan Romer, Caylee Romer, Ryan Worboys, Hailey Worboys, Andrew Worboys, Liliana Worboys, Marissa Worboys, Kaytlin Spencer, Peyton Spencer, Cody Spencer, Owen Mosher, and Oliver Mosher. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, and cousins. Elayne was born in Malone N.Y. where she resided until her early 20's and then moved to Rochester N.Y. She worked as a waitress for a while before she went to work at a factory called Weather Masters making screens and also sold Avon. In 1975 she moved to Manchester N.Y. and was employed at Voplex. She moved to Branchport in 2004 and drove to Canandaigua to work for the next two years, retiring in 2006. She decided retirement wasn't for her and went to work at Hammondsport Grocery where she was a cashier and worked until her stroke in December 2014. She then moved back to Manchester with her daughter Cindy who cared for her right to the end. Elayne always loved her cats and dogs they were like kids to her. She spoiled them rotten. She loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A baby in her arms was like giving a kid candy, nothing made her happier than being needed and loved. She opened her doors to family and friends in need, never expecting anything in return. She was so giving and loving. We will miss her sassy little remarks and all her love. She will never be forgotten but always remembered for she is a part of all of us. There are many things and places we will see and do that will remind us of her. Remember the little tongue thing she would do after she made a smart remark, or she had a comeback for someone? The little chuckle she had when she was up to no good. We will miss her.
